This week was one of the most controversial and sensational weeks for the sports community. Undoubtedly, the biggest factor that made this week very controversial for sports, especially football fans, was that the 34-year-old Argentine living legend Lionel Messi won the 2021 Ballon d'or award, which was held on the night of 29 November.

Considered by many football fans to be the best in history, for the 7th time, and once again made his name written in gold letters as the player with the most ballon d'or. However, this award divided the football community into two, because a very large number of football fans argue that the Polish star Robert Lewandowski, who immediately followed Messi in the rankings, should have received the award, since Lewandowski was the top scorer of the year 2020-2021. Of course, the top scorer of the year 2020-2021 was not sent empty-handed at the award night. Although Lewandowski did not receive the Ballon d'Or award, he was awarded the FIFA Striker of the Year award.

The second biggest event that happened this week is Manchester United's 36-year-old star, Cristiano Ronaldo, who made history as the top scorer in history, with 2 goals against Arsenal. The Portuguese star scored a total of 801 goals throughout his career and perhaps set a record that will not be broken for many years. In addition, he is the owner of the most goals in the champions league, which is one of the biggest football organizations. We are very lucky to be born at a time when we can watch this magnificent man. We sincerely congratulate Messi, who won the 7. Ballon d'or, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who became the best scorer in history.
