The Beatles: Get Back is a three-part documentary series that covers the creative process of -the most influential band- Beatles’ making 1970 album Let It Be in the preparation for their first live concert in over two years. It is directed by three-time Oscar-winner Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings trilogy). The documentary will take a deep look at Fab Four’s attempt to write 14 songs (from the albums Let it be and Abbey Road), Harrison leaving the band, and the last live concert of the Beatles. These three-part series are made with the help of 57 hours of unseen footage and 150 hours of unheard audio of the Beatles. All three parts of The Beatles: Get Back are released on Disney+. The first episode was released on November 25, the second was released on November 26, and the final episode was released on November 27. Each episode is about 2-3 hours long. Two alive members of The Beatles: Ringo Starr and Paul MCCartney, have very positive thoughts about the new documentary.
“There were hours and hours of us just laughing and playing music. There was a lot of joy and I think Peter will show that.”
“For me it’s lovely because it brings back to me; my mates, my fallen heroes, who aren’t here. It’s great to see them on the film…”
